Dear Semple Math,
I work with a student who has autism and is mildly mentally retarded. Before she began Semple Math she was was inconsistently applying her addition and subtraction skills and was not mastering any basic math skills. She also did not have any number sense. After 2 months of Semple Math five times a week, she has surpassed the skills that she had been struggling with since first grade (she is now in sixth grade and began the program towards the end of fifth grade). She also loves Semple Math and completes her math homework independently. I cannot thank you enough for putting a smile on my student's face and for making her parents cry for joy that their child is finally learning math that makes sense.

I would like to take the time to tell you about a student of mine named Cheyenne. Cheyenne is a 4th grade special education student classified as having a learning disability in the areas of reading and math. Her math sense was almost non-existent. She could not tell you that she had 5 fingers on each hand without counting them, each time you asked she had to count. Adding numbers together was a huge task for her to undertake on her own and often ended in tears. She had been taught to use touch points, and learned where those points were located on the numbers, but not how to work with them. Math was very frustrating for her on a daily basis, and again usually ended in tears.

I attended a training that was hosted on Clark County School District and taught by Nancy Ziehme in January of 2007. I fell in love with the program and started teaching it as soon as I got back into my classroom. It is now May and Cheyenne can do her math without tears. In fact, she is the best in the class at remembering what clue families the clues belong in. She actually smiles during math now and is starting to enjoy it. We have covered all the clue families and are starting to work on the longer problems and she is doing really well. I am so thankful to Semple Math for giving me the opportunity to help Cheyenne understand math. This program is great!

Hi Mr. Semple!!!

I want to let you know that I began the Semple Math program with my son nearly two years ago. He has severe dyscalculia. I've been working with him five days a week and he just completed Level IV two weeks ago. He is currently in 4th grade and is back in the regular classroom for math. Your program changed his life! He can do work beyond that of his classmates which is always a boost for a learning different kid. I am currently using the program with two other students whose parents saw how much it had helped my son.

Your program has been a gift for my son! Thank you so much! By the way, I use some of the Semple strategies with my other two children as well and my daughter's first grade teacher wants to know why my daughter already knows her multiplication facts. I told the teacher she needs to learn some songs!

Hi, I ordered your Level one product with outstanding results. I am very impressed with my son's ability to recall addition facts. We have almost finished with Level 1 and I would like to know what comes in the Complete Level Two Set. (I can only assume the teachers manual & workbooks).

I hope the rest of the program is as good as the first level. I've been telling my friends all about it. I am impressed!!!!!!

Dear Mr. Semple,

I'd like to take this opportunity to relay how beneficial the Semple Math Program has been for both my children. My daughter is diagnosed with ADD and was experiencing difficulty with computation and problem solving. We worked with a learning disability consultant who used the Semple program.

The visual approach was extremely effective, and she became much more confident as she experienced success in the classroom. My daughter was able to apply the visual techniques of problem solving and computation as the math curriculum was being presented in the regular classroom.

I would recommend this program for any child who is having difficulty acquiring math skills in any setting. This program offers a different approach to traditional math instruction and has the potential to reach so many children who are visual learners.
