Semple Math is a basic skills program for all students. Our unique sequence and methods, employing both fact and process mnemonics, enable students to commit math facts to memory ... not for a week, not for a month, but for life! At the same time the students are able to develop a concrete understanding of the abstract concepts that make up the Base 10 number system.

All students start at Level One in order to build a solid foundation. All students should continue through levels Two, Three, and Four to achieve basic skills mastery. A typical, mainstream student will complete our program in less than three years. It is common for students beginning a course of Semple in first grade to be ready for Pre-Algebra in fourth grade.

It is also common for Semple to be used as a "program of last resort" when other programs have failed. In spite of the damage done to a student's natural ability, attitude, and self esteem, people who turn to us and execute the program as written are never disappointed! It is never too late to save a student. Seeing a young learner finally smile again can be very rewarding-especially when the student is smiling about math.

This set includes everything an instructor needs to execute Level One of Semple Math. All of the components are 2nd Edition. This set consists of the Teacher's Manual, Teacher Cards, three Workbooks (A, B, and C) and the Place Value Kit. The Teacher's Manual has been updated, revised, and reformatted by the author to make it more practical in the field.

HOME 1 : The "Home Schooler" Complete Level One Starter Set.
This is the same set as SET 1 above with one substitution: This set includes three 1st Edition workbooks (A, B, and C), which lowers the overall cost of the set. 1st Edition and 2nd Edition materials are completely compatible. The set still offers every advantage of the revised Level One Teacher's Manual and the Place Value Kit. It is a complete package with everything the instructor requires to execute Level One.

KIT 1ED : The "Essentials" Level One Starter Set, 1st Edition
This set is the original 1st Edition including a Teacher's Manual, Teacher Cards, and three workbooks (A, B, and C). The Place Value Kit, which is first used in Lesson 29 of Level One, has been omitted from this kit to reduce the cost. This allows an instructor to try the first 28 lessons of Semple Math at a minimal financial commitment, and the Place Value Kit can be purchased separately when needed.

Please note: HOME1 and KIT 1ED will be offered as long as supplies of 1st Edition, Level One materials last. When the current inventory is depleted, all 1st Edition materials will be out of print. We expect our supply of 1st Edition, Level One materials to last through 2007. 1st Edition Levels Two, Three and Four will go out of print on December 15th, 2006. All 2nd Edition materials will remain available at all times.

The next three sets of materials run follow the sequence of our program. Each levels concentrates on one operation: addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division. Having completed a first level starter set (Addition) the student should then move on to SET 2 (Subtraction), and then SET 3 (Multiplication), and finally SET 4 (Division). All three of the latter sets are offered only as 2nd Edition sets. Please see the 1st Edition order form for 1st Edition availability of higher-level materials.
